PTI MNA wore garland of electricity bills to protest against high charges

ISLAMABAD: In a weird sort of protest, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member of National Assembly Sajid Nawaz Khan wore a  garland of electricity bills in a bid to protest against higher charges of electricity bills.

During the session,  Sajid Nawaz Khan said he was wearing bills of Rs20 million adding that consumers are charged so much more than the consumed units of electricity.

In response to what he called Nawaz’s accusations, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz MNA Abid Sher Ali said he would wear ‘Kunda’ to the assembly, a term used for stealing power from grid lines.
