LODHRAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday addressed a huge election rally, expressing the hope that his party would win the by-poll to be held on December 23 if rigging is not carried out.
Senior PTI leader Jehangir Khan Tarin is contesting by-election in Lodhran where he was defeated in the general election of 2013 by a PML-N candidate who was later de-seated by an election tribunal for holding fake degree.
“Those who contest election against government are in fact waging a Jihad, people of Lodhran will support us if rigging is not committed here,” Khan said.
Imran Khan said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced package for Lodhran to win by election in the constituency.
Taking an exception to PPP and the MQM, the PTI chairman said both the parties were against Rangers deployment in Karachi.
”Target killers, land grabbers and extortionists and unscrupulous elements are against Rangers deployment, but people of Karachi want them to stay,” he said.
