Qadri announces to launch protest on Jan 17, demands suspension of Rana Sanaullah over Zainab murder case

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on Thursday announced to launch countrywide protest from Mall Road Lahore on January 17, demanding Rana Sanaullah and inspector general of police (IGP) to step down over the recent rape and murder of a seven-year-old girl in Kasur.

“Will start protest from Mall road, Lahore and this would be the final round. The IGP, law minister, and home secretary should be suspended with immediate effect”, he said while addressing a press conference in Lahore.

He further said that to seek justice we have to eliminate the prejudice and that will be possible with the eradication of Sharif family.

“We know that a powerful individual…powerful groups are behind each such incident. It is a network of criminals,” the PAT chief said.

While commenting on All-parties conference the PAT- chief said all parties head will participate in the steering committee session which will held on January 16.

Last week PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri  held a meeting of party’s central core committee to sketch a strategy for the anti-government agitation.
