Rangers arrested Taliban Commander during operation, claims Bilal Akbar


KARACHI: Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar here on Friday claimed that the paramilitary force during operation has arrested a Taliban Commander Dawood Mehsud.


Addressing a conference at the Institute of Business Administration, DG Rangers said that Dawood Mehsud was arrested three days earlier from Karachi.

DG Rangers said that the paramilitary force is taking every possible step to ensure security in Sindh.

Akbar said that steps are being taken to ensure security in interior Sindh. He said that political parties has recognized that crime ratio has been decreased in Karachi since launch of Rangers operation.

To a question, DG Rangers said that the paramilitary force is responsible to provide security to the masses rather than ruling on masses.
