Rangers seals more MQM offices


KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies continued to seal offices of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in different areas of Karachi on Wednesday night.


MQM offices including party headquarters Nine Zero were sealed shortly after an inflammatory speech by party chief Altaf Hussain on Monday.

Law enforcers, after almost 48 hours hiatus, on Wednesday night sealed party offices in Pak Colony, Federal B Area, Liaquatabad, North Karachi and other neighborhoods.

Heavy contingents of police and Rangers, according to sources, first searched unit and sector offices and then locked them.

Meanwhile, Rangers arrested two women from Lines Area. Rangers sources said the arrested women were involved in August 22 attack on a private TV channel offices.

The suspected women were said to be affiliated with a political party, who were identified with the help of CCTV cameras footage.
