Rare Move: NA speaker stages walkout, says “could not tolerate disrespect of Parliament”

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, today staged a walkout from National Assembly in a rare move, newsone reported.


Annoyed by the absence of Interior Secretary  Arshad Mira, Ayaz Sadiq said he could not tolerate the disrespect of the parliament.

Arshad Mirza was to be in the parliament  by 12;30 Pm  to address the questions posed by parliamentarians related to compulsory drug tests of student 2018 and prevention of drugs in educational institutions 2018.

“I will continue staging walkouts until Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi gives a written undertaking that such a scenario will not be repeated,” he warned.

The NA session was then chaired by deputy speaker of NA Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
