ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) founder Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has claimed that ‘Sanctity of vote’ has now become a national and most famous slogan of country.
“Sanctity of vote is connecting with elections,” he said while addressing a national seminar titled ‘Vote Ko Izzat Do’ in Islamabad.
Nawaz welcomed Chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar’s decision to hold free and fair elections in country.
“CJP decision to hold free and fair elections on time is significant,” said Nawaz.
He claimed that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is specifically targeting personalities who belongs to PML-N, adding that some elements are deliberately creating hindrance for N-league candidates.
Nawaz vows to not give tickets to candidates who did disloyalty with PML-N. “Those who have betrayed party will get exemplary punishment,” Nawaz added.
He further said that everybody should try to save the country from chaos, adding the country could see chaos if voice of the people was stopped deliberately.
Nawaz added that democratic elements are being targeted through non-democratic ways. “Democracy is a name of ruling people but its sad that still democracy has not settled its foot in the country.”
