KARACHI: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Saturday barred four companies from supplying milk as their product failed the test conducted to assure the quality of their milk.
Chief Justice Saqib Nisar took the suo motu notice of substandard milk being supplied and ordered to conduct the tests of all the milk samples to assure that the quality isn’t compromised.
In his remark, he admonished one of the companies’ counsel saying that they’re selling tea whitener in the name of milk.
Chief Justice also expressed his dismay over the results conducted by the laboratory that showed that the milk supplied was substandard.
Chief Justice is currently hearing to a number of suo motu notices he took over substandard products such as milk and water.
