ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected former finance minister Ishaq Dar’s nomination paper for the Senate elections, NewsOne reported on Monday.
According to details, the nomination papers of Ishaq Dar was rejected during the scrutiny process.
The returning officer rejected his nomination papers as the counsel for a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate objected that Dar had not submitted an authentic declaration of his assets.
The RO ruled that Dar is not honest and ‘truthful’ as per the constitution.
Dar, a former finance minister and sitting senator, had applied on a technocrat seat from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
