ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: At least five people were dead, several injured in different incidents on Tuesday as heavy rainfall pounded Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Lahore, Multan and Gujranwala regions and Kashmir division.
According to NewsOne, an eight-year old child and two other people died in Lahore region when the roof of their house caved in during heavy rain.
Four people including a women were injured as wall collapses in Gujranwala. The injured people have been shifted to DHQ hospital for the first aid.
As the first drop of rain falls many cities of the Punjab province witnesses power outrage for many hours, which also interrupted the supply of clean water.
The rainfall lowered the mercury in the twin cities bringing much-needed respite for the residents. Earlier today, the Meteorological Department had forecast rainfall for Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore division and Kashmir.
