LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s chairman Imran Khan for using Faisal Subhan name, lying that Subhan was Shehbaz’s front man in money laundering.
In a press conference today Shehbaz accused Imran for continuously lying and hiding when the notice is served of defamation.
Faisal Subhan, who is accused of involvement in corruption in the Multan Metro Bus Project (MMBP), recently went ‘missing’ after allegations surfaced that he had transferred money to Shehbaz’s personal accounts.
According to media reports last year, Capital Construction and Engineering Ltd, a subcontractor of the MMBP, had been involved in laundering money along with Chinese company Jiangsu Yabaite Technology.
Imran Khan on Sunday also claimed that Subhan had gone missing since the revelations of money laundering surfaced on media alleging enforced disappearance of Faisal Subhan.
CM Punjab requested Supreme Court to constitute bench and probe the allegations of Imran Khan against him of money laundering.
