Shehla Raza unaware of celebrities’ protest, asks who is Fakhr-e-Alam

KARACHI: Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly and leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shehla Raza on Saturday said that she is unaware of celebrities’ protest and asked that who is Fakhr-e-Alam.


Talking to media in Karachi, Shehla Raza said that she has not received any information about the protest of celebrities while she also refused to recognize Fakhr-e-Alam who is leading the protest.

Earlier, actors and renowned personalities from showbiz industry expressed extreme concerns regarding security after renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri’s assassination.

Meera, Zeba Bakhtiar, Maria Wasti, Faisal Qureshi, Fakhr e Alam and a large number of other artists visited Defence Police Station, Karachi and demanded security from the police and other law enforcement agencies. More than 60 artists signed a petition and submitted it to the police officials.

Fakhr e Alam revealed that all artists had been receiving threats. Except their own security, leaders should also consider of taking initiatives regarding citizens’ protection.

The artists were with the view that they should be dismissed from censor board if Sindh government was facing problems in this matter.
