ISLAMABAD: High Representative on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherin arrived Pakistan on Monday to held strategic dialogues between the European Union and Pakistan with Federal Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office, Islamabad.
Two-way relations between EU and Pakistan, regional peace and security were discussed in the meeting while viewpoints on the local and global affairs, trade, investments, sustainable development, partnership in energy sector were also exchanged.

Mogherin praised the democratic stability of Pakistan and government’s refinement agenda. She assured cooperation in reduction of poverty, health, education, trade and energy sectors, environmentalism and counter-terrorism. Mogherin further acknowledged Pakistan’s pivotal role in having peace with Afghanistan.
FM Qureshi assured the EU representative that Pakistan will play a vital part in promoting peace and stability in the region including Afghanistan.
