ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the tweets of US President Donald Trump does not reflect US official policy.
Speaking to ‘Washington Post’ the Premier added that the policies of states are determined via official documents and meeting.
“It has to come through an official document or an official meeting to constitute official policy, in our opinion,” the PM asserted.
Donald Trump is famously known in lambasting Pakistan for the alleged support to terrorists and providing them safe heavens; the claim that Islamabad always denies.
Prime Minister Abbasi also added that the “ground realities don’t corroborate with Trump’s claim as Pakistan has rendered sacrifices against the war on terror”.
He also asserted that Pakistan always acted in accordance with the intelligence sharing which US had provided them in the past.
However, it is pertinent to mention the US Senate has tabled a bill, seeking end to civil aid to Pakistan, on Friday.
