Two gang war accused killed in encounter with Rangers in Karachi


KARACHI: According to details, an exchange of fire took place between Rangers and gang war accused in Lyari area of Karachi on Thursday in which two gang war accused were killed.


According to a Rangers spokesman, the dead gang war accused, identified as Amjad alias Mirchi and Iqbal alias kana, were wanted in several cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

The spokesman further said that the dead accused were planning attacks on polling stations during LB elections. Rangers also recovered arms from the possession of the dead accused.

On the other hand, Crime Branch Police conducted an operation in Site area and arrested three accused. According to SSP Crime Baranch, Akram Abro, the arrested persons belonged to Lyari gang war of Sheraz Comrade Group.

The accused, who were identified as Walayat Khan, Tariq and Faisal were wanted in several cases of streat crime. Police also recovered arms from their possession.
