Unidentified armed persons forcibly enters into KPC, harass journalists

KARACHI: Around 10 to 15 plain-clothed armed men entered the Karachi Press Club (KPC) and harassed journalists, late on Thursday night.


According to details, the unknown persons were accompanied by a police mobile. They entered KPC and forcibly filmed and took photos of the offices.

The unidentified persons  represented themselves as ‘govt officials’ when inquired. The KPC management has termed it as attempt to harass journalists.

The unidentified persons arrived at the club in half a dozen double-cabin vehicles, land cruisers and other vehicles.

President KPC Ahmed Khan Malik and Secretary Maqsood Yousufi have demanded Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail to take a immediate and stern action against the individuals for violating the sanctity of historical club.

The KPC management has announced to record a protest outside press club on Friday at 3.00 PM. The management has asked all journalists to join the protest.
