Will not refrain from sacrificing in defence of the motherland, says Army Chief

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday said will not refrain from sacrificing in defence of the motherland and will give a befitting response to any aggression, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).


Presiding 220th Core Commander Conference at the General Headquarters, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) said the nation is moving forward on the path of progress after eliminating terrorism and fruits of social and economical progress are now evident.

National security, interior and exterior challenges were discussed in the conference while viewpoints on geostrategic and eastern border situations were also exchanged.

COAS said Pakistan will continue to play its part in maintaining regional peace and stability.

“Having achieved stability against terrorism, Pakistan is on positive trajectory of becoming a state where prerogative of use of weapons rests with the state alone and socio-economic development is taking preeminence“, said COAS.

COAS said making efforts to make weaponry usage rights reserved only for the state and will continue cooperating with the federal government and opposing political parties for the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
