COAS hoists national flag at Wagha border

LAHORE: Marking the 70th independence day, Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa hoisted the national flag at Wagha borders. According to a TV report this flag is the largest national flag ever hoisted anywhere in Pakistan.


As per details, the flag was hoisted on a 400-feet pole, whereas the size of the flag is 120×80 feet. The flag has been made entirely in Pakistan, and is said to be the highest flag in South Asia and the 8th highest in the world.

Later on, National anthem was recited with huge fireworks, demonstrating unity at all level. On the occasion Chief of Army Staff Bajwa said, that the Country is progressing, and all the institution are working in unison. He also added, that the fight against terrorsin will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
