Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast moderate to heavy rain today in different parts of the country, including Karachi where devastating wave of unusual heat has left nearly 500 people dead in three days.
Speaking to Samaa, Director General PMD Dr. Ghulam Rasul said Thrparkar, Umarkot, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities of Sindh are likely to receive light to heavy rain during next 24 hours.
He said the wet spell would continue for two days.
Temperature recorded in Karachi at 8am today was 33 degree centigrade. It is expected to rise up to 39 degree C.
