SHARJAH: Multan Sultans won the toss and chose to ball first against the sought after Quetta and Multan clash, the first match being played today in a red-hot tournament after tomorrows monumental match up.
Sarfraz-led Quetta have had a rollercoaster PSL where they won against the Inaugural champs Islamabad quite easily but lost to Peshawar Zalmi in a low-scoring thriller the next day, courtesy of the heroics from captain courageous Darren Sammy.
Quetta, who have won two and lost two matches thus far, have plenty of positives though. Shane Watson is in fiery form with the bat, averaging 31.75 with a half century to his name already which is by far the most runs scored by a player in PSL this season, as of yet. All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz has proven to be the most economical bowler of the season, with an economy rate of 3.83 so far and has also looked to be in a very good touch with the bat.
For Multan Sultans, PSL debutant Imran Tahir has proven to be their go-to man. The South African spin wizard has 7 wickets from 3 matches so far, at an economy of 7.32 tying him up with Muhammad Sami for most wickets in the season thus far.
Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara (Multan Sultans) is also in the form of his life, averaging 42 with the bat this season.
