Earlier today, Islamabad United had won the toss and elected to field first.
United batting second just managed to score 142 while chasing the target of 176 set by Zalmis.
Islamabad United was led by Rumman Raees who replaced former skipper and legendary Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq due to hamstrings injury.
This was the united first opening match as Misbah led team was successful in lifting first edition PSL trophy, whereas Peshawar Zalimi the last year winners were searching to register their first win as they lost their opening match to Multan Sultan.
