KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi has set the target of 149 runs for Islamabad United to lift the Pakistan Super League trophy, as final being played in Karachi National Stadium.
Earlier batting today, after winning the toss, Zalmi had a bad start as their main opening Batter Kamran Akmal, who was in his best from through out the tournament, was dismissed by Samith Patel for one run.
Later in his second over, Muhammad Hafeez fell victim to his flight ball and gave an easy catch to the bowler on eight runs.
The next who returned back to the pavilion was opener Andre Fletcher who was dismissed by youngster Shadab Khan
Hussain Talat ended innings of Chris Jordan and Saad Nasim on the respective scores of 36 and two runs.
Later in the innings as 9 players were down of Zalmi, Pacer Wahab Riaz played a cameo innings of 28 runs to lead his team to a fighting score of 148/9.
Spinner Shadab Khan was impressive, as he took 3 wickets including the Zalmi’s Captain Darren Sammy.
