PSL bonanza makes it’s way to Pakistan, Foreign players land in Lahore

LAHORE: The city of gardens and the second largest city of Pakistan is ready to host the arriving PSL entourage in true Lahori fashion for two eliminators slated to be played in the rich cultural city of Lahore.


The matches scheduled to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday will see Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators, the first eliminator, to be played on Mar 20, Tue in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore at 7:00 PM02:00 PM GMT / 07:00.

.The second eliminator, Karachi Kings vs TBC, to be played on Mar 21, Wed at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore 7:00 PM 02:00 PM GMT / 07:00 PM.

All International players from West Indies, New Zealand and South Africa had green signaled the flight to Pakistan bar a few who put up different reasons to not play the tournament further in it’s Pakistan leg.

Except for Dwayne Smith, all foreign players of Peshawar Zalmi — including skipper Darren Sammy, Liam Dawson, Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Tamim Iqbal and Chris Jordan — arrived on Tuesday along with the Kings’ Ravi Bopara, Tymal Mills, Joe Denly, David Wiese, Lendl Simmons, and Colin Ingram.

Quetta Gladiators’ Rilee Rossouw and Chris Green also arrived in the city, followed by teammates Mehmoodullah and Thisara Perera who joined them later in the day.

Pakistan has been plagued with terrorism for more than a decade now but in the recent years the Pakistan Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies along with the local population have put up a vociferous fight against the transgressors of law spilling innocent blood on the land, we have made amazing inroads in the fight and the safety and security conditions of the country have increased manifold.
