Army Chief visits Frontier Force Regimental Center: ISPR

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Frontier Force Regimental Center, the Pakistan Army media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

On the duration of his visit, the Army Chief conferred Lieutenant General Aamir Abbasi the post of Colonel Commandant of the regiment.

Outgoing Core Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Ghaiyoor Mehmood Awan, a large number of serving and retired officers, and soldiers attended the ceremony, stated the official press statement.

COAS laid floral wreath at the gravestone of the martyrs.

COAS praised the contributions and sacrifices endured by the Regiment for the defence of the nation and said whether it was a conventional war or a mission against terrorism, the regiment played an important role.
