KARACHI: Light rain is expected to continue in different areas of Karachi on Tuesday as the city reels from the impact of a heavy downpour it witnessed yesterday.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light spells of rain in the provincial capital throughout the day. However, the city is unlikely to see another heavy spell of rain till later in the week.
The monsoon weather is expected to continue in Karachi until September 30 with another bout of rain predicted to enter the city in the next four or five days.
The winds from the sea are expected to pick up significantly and might hit the city on Wednesday morning, said the Met department, advising citizens to take necessary precautions.
Earlier on Monday, stormy rainfall had flooded the streets of Karachi and brought traffic to a standstill in parts of the city. Several areas plunged into darkness as 200 K-Electric (KE) feeders tripped.
