Samsung launches water-resistant Galaxy A3 and A5

Samsung to kick-off the New Year with two budgeted water resistant phones. Both models will be a part of the successful mid-range Galaxy A devices.


The Galaxy A5 will comprise of a larger display screen of the two models with a 5.2-inch screen while both the phones will be water and dust resistant, the A5 will be shipped along with Samsung’s fast charging technology claiming to charge the device up to 50% in half an hour while the A3 with a display of 4.7-inch will not have the fast charge technology but will have improved battery timing.

The A3 harbors a 2,350mAh battery, while the A5’s battery is 3,000mAh. The A5 runs on an impressive 1.9GHz octa core processor; whilst the A3 clocks at 1.6GHz. Both devices will have expandable memories of up to 256 GB.
On the backside is one of the most important feature of a new-age smartphone, that being the camera. The A3 has a powerful 13 megapixel rear camera with another 8 megapixels of selfie induced fun on the front being making up the front facing camera.

Both front and rear cameras on the A5 are 16 megapixels.

The handsets will be available in an array of 4 different colors being, Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud.

Samsung has not announced the exact sale date for the new Galaxy A range, nor has it revealed prices as yet.
