Web Desk: WIndies star batsman Chris Gayle joins superstar Shahid Afridi as king of sixes in International cricket.
Chris Gayle smashed five sixes against Bangladesh in the third and final One-day International (ODI) at Warner Park in St Kitts to become the most number of six hitter in International cricket.
The West Indies batsman, who scored a blistering 73-run from 66 balls equaled Pakistan superstar Shahid Afridi’s feat of identical number of sixes.
Gayle has leveled record in 443 matches, while Afridi reached the mark in 524 matches.
Gayle however can surpass Afridi to become highest six-hitter when the West Indies take on Bangladesh in the second Twenty International (T20i).
However, Windies thrashed Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first Twenty International (T20I).
MS Dhoni, Martin Guptil and Rohit Sharma are the current players in the top 10 of the most sixes list.
