DG ISPR thanks PCB for arranging a deserving opportunity to FATA youth

RAWALPINDI: Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Saturday appreciated the talent hunt programme conducted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in North Waziristan Agency for the youth of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).


DG ISPR in his tweet mentioned that: “This is another indicator of peace. Normalcy returning. The vibrant youth of NWA going through PCB talent hunt program. Soon in other agencies as well IA. Thanks to PCB talent hunt team for affording a deserving opportunity to FATA Youth; the real future.”

PCB talent Hunt Programme team in collaboration with Pakistan Army visited North Waziristan Agency (NWA) on Saturday for trials of youth of FATA at Younis Khan Cricket Ground Miranshah.

The trial team comprises Mushtaq Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Yasir Shah and Ali Zia of National Cricket Academy.

The selected players will be part of PCB skill development camp under auspices of NCA.

In 2016, Younis Khan Cricket Ground Miranshah hosted a exhibition cricket match between PCB XI and UK XI a testimony of defeating terrorist’s narratives.
