Former cricketers praises Fakhar Zaman for hitting double ton in ODI cricket

Web Desk: Former International cricketers, journalists and cricket fans all across the world have congratulated Fakhar Zaman for hitting double ton in One-Day International cricket against Zimbabwe here on Friday.


He made not out 209 runs facing 155 deliveries. With this feat, Zaman broke Saeed Anwar’s 21-year-old record for the highest Pakistani ODI innings of 194.

Furthermore,Β along with fellow opener Imam-ul-Haq, also broke the world record for highest 1st wicket partnership, surpassing 286 scored by Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga against England at Leed’s in 2006.

Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones in his tweet congratulated Zaman for his magnificent double century and Asif Ali fro blistering half century.

Zimbabwe has to chase a mammoth score of 400 runs in an already decided series, as green shirts leading by decisive 3-0 lead.

The tourists crushed Zimbabwe by nine wickets in the third one-day international on Wednesday, as seamer Faheem Ashraf took a career-best five for 22 to skittle the hosts for just 67.
