The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) which has emerged as the winning party in general elections 2018 and likely to make government in centre with Imran Khan to become possible prime minister of Pakistan, it seems like Najam Sethi has finally decided to resign as PCB chief.
The veteran journalist and PCB chief while giving reply to one of his fan on twitter has announced that he will come back on TV soon.
“Najam Sethi we want you and your sparrow on T.V with shocking revelations. Also you have done a great job as PCB Chairman,” tweeted by Sethi’s
“Inshallah my chirya and I will be back on tv soon,” replied Sethi.

So it means that he is mulling to resign as PCB chief, because doing a show on TV will not allow him to host a TV show. But it is too early to say anything.
Earlier reports are also circulating about PCB chief that Sethi would be removed as he was allegedly appointed on political grounds by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
It must be noted that as even before PTI chief Imran Khan has been sworn in as Prime Minister, many former cricketers are dreaming about becoming the next chairman of PCB.
Zulfi Bukhari, a close aide of PM-elect Imran Khan in an interview to private with news channel has also advised PCB chief to tender his resignation.
Jugnu Mohsin, who defeated former provincial minister Syed Raza Ali Gilani with a huge margin in PP-184, Okara, has decided to maintain her status as independent in the Punjab Assembly and to vote for the new provincial government.
Najam Ali Sethi was appointed as PCB chief in 2017. He also holds a position of Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman.
Last month Pakistan Cricket Board’s General Body has unanimously given Chairman PCB Najam Sethi unqualified vote of confidence for his tireless efforts to revive cricket in Pakistan.
The vote of confidence resolution was presented at the meeting by Regional Presidents and wholeheartedly endorsed by the entire General Body.
The Elected Presidents of the Cricketing Regions in a joint statement said, “We extend our full support and cooperation to Mr Sethi in his tireless efforts to revive cricket in Pakistan.”
“Our vote of confidence in him is unqualified; we support his vision for a new and exciting era of cricket that will bring glory to our cricket,” the statement added.
Since taking over as PCB chief he has made a real effort of bringing a professional change and approach at PCB. The revival of international cricket has already been a huge success in Lahore and Karachi.
The three World XI games in Lahore, T20 against Sri Lanka, three T20s against the West Indies and three PSL matches including the grand final in Karachi last March have brought real joy to the cricket fans in the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Najam Sethi has also served as an caretaker chief minister of Punjab before 2013 general elections. The PTI chief and possible PM of Pakistan Imran Khan had accused Najam Sethi on several occasions for rigging general elections 2013.
All to say about the future of PCB chief is still too early but one thing is sure that he will be remembered for his services to PCB and PSL.
