LAHORE – Misbah derides PCB’s ‘parking’ policy

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) executives Wednesday showed national team captain Misbahul Haq their powers by refusing him main entry to the Gaddafi Stadium for the potential security fears.

The Pakistan captain was at the heart of a tempest outside the gates of the Gaddafi Stadium when he parked his automobile in front of its entrance after security guards turned down to permit him entrance, allowing no space for entry or exit of other cars arriving and departing the venue where the internal team is undergoing a month-long conditioning camp.

Misbah’s exploits come a day later on his teammate Umar Akmal was also excluded from parking his vehicle in the stadium’s parking lot.

Misbah arrived at the stadium with fellow team members Shahid Afridi and Ahmed Shehzad in his automobile, but the security guards turned down to grant him entry into the purpose-built parking area in the stadium and asked him to park it outside, on Wednesday.

Shortly, Misbah heavily criticizes the musical chair game in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) speaking that Pakistan cricket doesn’t have as many Test players as chairmen. Even the vehicles of the police force escorting PCB chairman Najam Sethi are allowed to stay in the stadium’s park.

PCB’s top brass feels potential security threats from star players that’s why they have been banned main gate entrance.

Throughout Ijaz Butt’s tenure as PCB chairman, but his cars or those of the PCB COO were allowed parking facility within the stadium while the directors and general managers used to park their vehicles outside.
