
Web Desk: Former Pakistan fast bowler and Lahore Qalandars coach Aqib Javed on Wednesday proposed to slash Test format from the cricket.

Talking to media in Lahore former Test cricketer said that no one wants to see the Test cricket except the 22 players in the ground and coaching staff.
“Neither anyone wants to watch a Test match nor does any broadcaster want to telecast it. Only 22 players, coaches and a handful of people watch a Test match”, Aqib was quoted as saying.

He further said that countries like Pakistan should not play Test cricket anymore as they don’t have their home grounds to play cricket.
Social media users on Twitter has condemned the statement Aqib Javed for calling Test cricket a useless format.
“Sad to hear Aqib javed saying Test cricket should not be played anymore such a shameful comment from a test cricketer himself. Test cricket shows real class of the players not T20.”

Former fast bowler has represented Pakistan in 22 Tests and 163 One Day Internationals between 1988 to 1998.
He is currently serving as coach of Lahore Qalandars.
