OVAL: Rain halts the first one day international at Oval between Pakistan and England as Green Shirts score 71 with two wickets down.
Prior to rain, English chose to field after winning the toss as Imam Ul Haq scores 34 with Babar Azam leaving the field with 16 runs. Fakhar Zaman scored 3 runs while Haris Sohail scored 16.
Both the teams are putting their sights on the World Cup as this series could prove to be the true test preparation for World Cup.
A victory in this series would be much needed: Pakistan have lost 12 of their 23 matches in the last year and suffered a 5-0 whitewash by Australia in the UAE in their latest ODI engagement earlier this year, although they were led by Shoaib Malik in that series, who was standing in for regular skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.
