Pakistan women team’s graceful all-rounder Nida Dar created history on Wednesday with her 37-ball 75 in the fourth T20i against the South Africa women team in Benoni.
Dar’s half-century, achieved with 20 deliveries, is the second fastest ever in Twenty20 format by any female cricketer. Just two deliveries short of record holding New Zealander Sophie Devine, Dar still managed to be the fastest Asian to achieve the feat.
Dar surpassed fellow teammate Javeria Khan who was the highest Pakistani women scorer in T20I with 74 not out against Ireland.
Dar joined the league of high scorers Bismah Maroof and Javeria Khan completing 1,000 T20I runs.
Her innings comprised of three sixes which marks the most sixes by a Pakistani batswoman in T20I yet.
Her brilliant stroke helped Pakistan pass 172 for 5 against South Africa in 20 overs which is the second highest total by Pakistan women in T20I and also highest against a top-notch team.
