LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has issued show-cause notice to the cricketer Umar Akmal for blaming coach of Pakistan Cricket Team, Mickey Arthur for hurling abuses at him, the charge which coach Arthur denied.
The PCB has issued a show-cause notice to Umar Akmal on breaching code of conduct . The middle-order batsman has seven days to file a reply.

On Wednesday, Umar Akmal alleged that Arthur abused him in front of the Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.
He also said senior players did not stop Arthur from abusing him.
Akmal told that the coach was also abusive towards other players.
He further claimed that Arthur had once said to him, “Don’t come to the Academy and go, play club-level cricket”.
Though according to a local TV report, when contacted the coach Arthur denied allegations and said that he never abused Umar Akmal.
Umar Akmal in his long career has been in and out for many reasons revolving around controversies, performance and fitness. Last time he was selected for ICC Champions Trophy but was called back due to his failure at passing fitness test.
