The Patron in Chief, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, is likely to appoint a new chairman and soon an ad-hoc structure might be declared.
Adding shame to the injury, on Tuesday, the Ministry for Inter-Provincial Coordination challenged Zaka Ashraf’s restoration in Islamabad High Court. On May 17, Ashraf was reintitute by the IHC terming his removal by the Patron in Chief as illegal.
The same IHC had dismissed Ashraf in May last year rejecting his election as the chairman PCB.
Acknowledging Ashraf’s reinstatement, Former Chairman PCB Najam Sethi said he wants PCB to run into the correct way.
Furthermore, he has decided to not to approach court on Ashraf’s appointment. Since May 2013, Chairman PCB has been altered for the five times.
