KARACHI: Foreign Security experts have expressed satisfaction over security arrangements for the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled to be held next month.
The Sindh government, police along with the help of Pakistan Rangers, Pakistan Army and other security agencies presented a complete demonstration of the security arrangements for the March 25 event.
While addressing a news conference in National Stadium consultant Reg Dickason said they were briefed by officials of different security agencies, and found the arrangements for PSL 3 final up to the mark.
All Roads connecting to Shahra-e-Faisal and coming towards the stadium were blocked for routine traffic. Army helicopters were also involved for aerial monitoring.
Dickason, lauded professionalism of Pakistani security agencies and termed the arrangements as “as good as in any other country.”He will submit his report to the PCB in next seven days.
“Each and everything was conducted in a professional and proficient way.”
Meanwhile, talking to media Sindh Home Minister Anwar Sial said all the steps required for security of foreign players wold be taken by his government.
He said the chief minister while expressing his desire to hold the final in Karachi had said people of Sindh deserve to get the cricket back in their grounds.
The third edition of PSL would begin from February 22 during which 34 matches would be held in United Arab Emirates, Lahore and Karachi. The First match will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan sultans.
The two Play-offs and Final are scheduled to be held in and Lahore and Karachi.
