KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced on Tuesday that it will hold a full dress rehearsal of the security arrangements for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) third edition final at National Stadium Karachi on February 11.
In a letter to the Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah, PCB informed that “on the instruction of honourable Chief Minister of Sindh, a full dress rehearsal has been scheduled on February 11. International Cricket Council, broadcasters and security consultants will also witness the rehearsal.”
According to the letter, A coordination meeting of all stakeholders may be arranged on February 7 at the office of Inspector General of Sindh Police, where director security along and other PCB officials from Karachi will attend the meeting.
PSL final is scheduled to be held at National Stadium Karachi on March 25 after the two eliminators, which will take place in Lahore on March 20 and March 21, respectively.
The PSL 2018 final is seen as the next step in PCB’s long-term plan to bring international cricket back to the cricket-deprived nation.
