POTCHEFSTROOM: Pakistan women team created history on Monday by defeating South Africa by eight wickets in first one day international at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
In their biggest win in terms of balls remaining, Pakistani bowlers restricted Proteas to 63 all out in only 22.5 overs with Sana Mir dismissing four batswomen and Nashra Sandhu taking two wickets.
Mignon du Preez, 18 and Chloe Tryon, 21 remained only Proteas’ top scorers.
Pakistan easily achieved the target in only 14.4 overs with Javeria Khan remained not out on 34 along with Bismah Maroof on 12.
This marks Proteas lowest ODI score and Pakistan’s first ever victory in the South Africa, leading the series with 1-0.
