Bulawayo: Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said that men in green must not consider Zimbabwe a weak side as Pakistani team also making on the field with young names.
“No team can be considered a weak opponent yet, we are also playing with relatively young side”, said Sarfaraz in a press conference held at Bulawayo ahead of the first One Day international (ODI) match against hosts.
He also remarked that the team management is giving more opportunities to youngsters.
“ We are giving full chance to our young players. It will be decided only after looking at the conditions that who opens the bat”, He added.
While commenting over his batting order number in ODIs Sarfraz said that he will bat at no 5.
Sarfaraz was pretty sure that Yasir Shah’s addition to the national side will prove to be beneficial for team’s bowling department.
“We are heading to the ground with complete homework. Yasir Shah’s inclusion in the squad will make our bowling side much stronger”, he added.
Earlier, Pakistan thrashed Australia by six wickets in the final match of the T20 Tri-series to lift the title.
Pakistan will play five one day internationals (ODI) against Zimbabwe. The first match will be played tomorrow at 12;:30 pm PST.
