Sarfraz eyes to lift PSL title in his hometown

Web Desk: Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed on Saturday has said he will try even harder to win the Third edition of PSL this time as the Final will be played in his hometown(Karachi).

“The final this time is taking place in my hometown of Karachi,” he said hours before leaving for the UAE to participate in the 2018 Pakistan Super League.

He expressed hope that the Pakistan Super League will continue to provide fresh talent to Pakistan Cricket.

Sarfraz also responded to chief selector Inzamam ul Haq’s recent comments regarding the unpleasant effect of T20 cricket on longer formats.

“It is true, when you play shorter format you prepare according to it and that training doesn’t apply on longer format,” he stated. So I agree with what he said that the more we play the longer formats our cricket will improve.

Sarfraz who twice led team Quetta Gladiators to final of PSL but couldn’t win the title.

The First match of the league will be played between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans on Feb, 22.
