Spectators, players save Pakistan’s face from embarrassment after National Anthem malfunction

Web Desk: Charged up spectators and players saved Pakistan from embarrassment when the national anthem suddenly stopped working ahead of the opening T20I match against West Indies at National Stadium Karachi on Sunday.

Players and crowd were not held back despite the technical problem. They carried on singing the national anthem without the background music which made the scenes even more patriotic.

Soon after the anthem completed, Pakistan players waved at the crowd to acknowledge and appreciate their passion.

However, local management informed that it was sound system malfunction.

In a game played yesterday Pakistan whipped Windies by 143-runs to kick-off the revival of international cricket with a win at National Stadium, Karachi.

Batting first, debutant Hussain Talat and veteran player Shoaib Malik helped Pakistan to set 204-run target for Windies in 20 overs.

In response, Windies were all-out after scoring 60 runs in 20 overs. Only three batsmen from host side could managed to cross double figure.
