It was a terrible earthquake: Javeria Khan

Pakistan women cricketer, Javeria Khan on Sunday said that the team experienced the terrible Earthquake in New Zealand.

In a message posted on his verified Twitter account, Javeria confirmed that everyone is safe and sound.

It was a terrible #Earthquake here in NewZealand. Everyone is safe and sound. Alhamdulillah.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s men cricket team are also safe in Nelson after a powerful earthquake hit New Zealand, their manager Wasim Bari confirmed.

The earthquake struck late on Sunday evening. “We felt the first tremors around 11.30pm,” Bari, the former Pakistan wicketkeeper, told ESPNcricinfo. “Some of the boys were in prayer, some were watching the India-England Test on TV when we felt the windows shake. The whole room began to shake. We were on the sixth and seventh floor, and evacuated immediately. The hotel staff was very helpful. We are all safe.”
