LAHORE: Cricketer Umar Amal hurled allegations at the Pakistan’s National Cricket Team Coach Mickey Arthur for abusing him in front of the Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.
He also alleged that senior players did not stop Arthur from abusing him.
Akmal told that the coach was also abusive towards other players.
He further claimed that Arthur had once said to him, “Don’t come to the Academy and go, play club-level cricket”.
Though according to a local TV report, when contacted the coach Arthur denied allegations and said that he never abused Umar Akmal.
Umar Akmal in his long career has been in and out for many reasons revolving around controversies, performance and fitness. Last time he was selected for ICC Champions Trophy but was called back due to his failure at passing fitness test.
