The opening ceremony of the 2019 Cricket World Cup has commenced at The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace in London.
The ceremony, termed “opening party”, will be attended by the skippers of all 10 participating teams.
The captains got to meet Elizabeth II, the Queen of the United Kingdom, ahead of the ceremony as tweeted by the royal family.

The opening match will be played between South Africa and the host England at the Oval tomorrow.
