ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Sunday evening finally announced to restore social media websites after temporary outage since the countrywide protests against Faizabad sit-in operation.
The PTA issued the orders to restore the access of social media websites in the all big and small cities.
Earlier today, social media websites Youtube, Facebook and Twitter remain accessible in Pakistan after being closed down by the government following Dharna Clean up on Saturday.
On Saturday the government had also put ban on these social networking as the supporters of this protest tend to use it as a propagandist tool in conveying their messages.
Access has also been blocked to the live stream pages of major news channels in Pakistan.
