WhatsApp launches Multi-person video call feature

WhatsApp, Facebook-owned messaging app, has introduced multi-person video and audio call feature, today.

The newly-launched feature is available for both Android and iOS users and will allow them to place video /voice calls with up to four people at a time.

According to the details provided by the WhatsApp, User can add participants in a group call once the first participant receives a call, by tapping the given option “Add participants.”

WhatsApp reiterated that calls are “end-to-end encrypted” like its other chats, and promised that they should work in less-than-stellar network conditions.

The Company first announced to introduce multi-call feature in the month of May, at Facebook’s F8 developer conference.
