Shehbaz Sharif inaugurates ‘Orange Line Metro Service’ on test run

LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif has inaugurated today the much awaited Orange Line Project; however for a time being a testing service has been launched from Islam Park to Lakshmi Chawk.


CM Shehbaz, accompanying Chinese consulate was present in the inauguration ceremony.

According to details, the railway service will cater service to 0.25 million of people with the exceptional facilities on daily basis.

The full and final project aims to provide service from Thokar Niaz Beg to Gujran spot covering the distance of 27 kilometers.

Addressing the press conference, Shehbaz lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for challenging the project in Supreme Court, saying the PTI proved it self to be  anti-masses by trying to foil the project by seeking stay order from the apex court.
