COAS Bajwa chairs Corps Commanders’ conference at GHQ

RAWALPINDI: On Thursday, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa presided over the 216th Corps Commanders’ Conference at Army’s General Headquarters, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.


The forum reviewed the geo-strategic environment with special focus on regional security and the situation on Pakistan’s eastern and western borders including the Line of Control (LoC), according to the press release shared by the Inter Service Public Relations

Progress of ongoing stability operations for internal security was also discussed, it said.

“The forum highlighted importance of regional approach to eliminate roots of terrorism and attached hopes for success of ongoing Afghan reconciliation process while supporting all stakeholders to bring Afghan war to a peaceful logical conclusion,” said the ISPR statement.
