COAS Bajwa leaves for Afghanistan, to meet President Ashraf Ghani: ISPR

KABUL: According to army media wing Inter Service Public Relations(ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has left for Afghanistan visit on Tuesday.

The visit by the top General is on the request of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, ISPR added.

Army Chief left for Kabul to meet President Ashraf Ghani on his invitation. Pakistan wishes to see National Unity Government and US / NATO succeeding to bring peace in Afghanistan.

“Pakistan and Afghanistan are indispensable for each other”, said DG ISPR in a presser last week,  also adding peace in Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s interest.

“Terrorism is our common enemy”. asserted DG ISPR in relationship with Afghanistan.

Following fencing at Pak Afghan border, cross border violations from Afghanistan escalated, remarked DG ISPR.

“71 violations of cross border attacks have been reported after Pakistan initiated border fencing at Pak-Afghan border” Asif Ghafoor informed media.
